To Mila's Tribe,

The last four years have been both the hardest and most beautiful of my life. Your love and encouragement fueled my fight for Mila’s life, and your compassion and acceptance at the end has kept me standing. The pain of not seeing my Mila grow up cuts so deep. But I am finding peace in the love that always surrounded her and the incredible light and life that she has given to the world. As I learn to adapt to a new way of living with Mila’s spirit on my back, her arms around my neck, I long to hear how Mila’s journey may have affected your own life.
